SearchGPT vs SEO

You're going to hear a lot of noise about the upcoming SearchGPT.

What is it?

It's OpenAi's native search engine. It's basically their Google Search.

This is going to be very important and very impactful for small brick and mortar businesses. We get a lot of our leads and customers from our SEO.

SearchGPT is going to be a little different than Google Search because it's only going to show ONE result. For example if you ask it to find you the "best local barber in Miami,FL" it's only going to give you the information for the top ranked barber shop. It's not going to give you pages of options like google would.

So that means if you're not first you don't exist.

The question becomes- how do we optimize our business for this?

Now, I'll be the first to tell you that you're going to hear a lot of scare tactics about this. You're going to get a lot of cold emails from 23 year old idiots telling you they can optimize your business for LLMO (Large Language Model Optimization).

The truth is....

No one knows how they're going to rank and conduct their searches.

BUT

We can look at OpenAI's history. We can see what dataset's they tend to use to build and improve their models.

So what does that mean?

It means you don't have to worry too much about it They're most likely going to be pulling from the same dataset that Google does.

So you don't have to do anything different. You just need to continue to optimize your website and content to rank highly on Google, and assume that you're ranking on SearchGPT will follow.

The best course of action is to continually make sure your website is SEO Optimized, shareable, and gets a lot of backlinks.

Here's how to do it with AI
